LNC Summer Camps are a great way for kids to learn about nature while having fun! Camps at Louisville Nature Center offer fun games, guided hikes in the nature preserve, and exciting nature study for budding naturalists--ages 4-12! Our camps provide lots of hands-on learning about the local wildlife
and habitats found in Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve, a 41-acre forest and outdoor classroom.
Summer Camp Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for the LNC summer camps. Attendees pay 50% of the camp cost; the remaining 50% will be covered by the scholarship funds. Any student currently receiving reduced lunch is eligible to apply. Please contact the Nature Center for details.

YOUNG EXPLORERS CAMP (Ages 4-6)

Who lives in the woods? We'll explore the trails and gardens as we look for animals, flowers and bugs that live in the woods.
$100 for LNC members; $115 for non-members.
HARRY POTTER: NATURE'S MAGIC (Session I) (Ages 8-12)
Monday-Friday, June 14 - 18, 2010

You won't need a spell book to discover how magical nature can be in this camp based on the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

What do you need for a walk in the woods? Come learn what to do with the things that you take with you and how to survive in an emergency.

ART ADVENTURES CAMP (Ages 6-9)

Put on your hiking boots and grab your paintbrushes for some exciting adventures at this art and nature camp! Join us for bird watching, bug finding, hiking in the preserve, as well as working with paint, clay and other fun materials!
